Mountain Hardwear Provides All-Time Comfort for All-Mountain Skiers

New styles for Fall 15 provide premium technology and design for backcountry adventures

Richmond, Calif. (January 15, 2015) – Mountain Hardwear, Inc., a leader in innovative, premium outdoor apparel, equipment and accessories, launches essentials for Fall 15 designed for winter athletes taking resort laps, backcountry expeditions and everything in between.

“The Mountain Hardwear office has always been populated by a bunch of athletic skiers who love to get after it – folks who understand performance, moisture management and end-use feature priorities,” said Robert Fry, Mountain Hardwear’s global director of product merchandising and design. “This season, we clicked the design and aesthetic inspiration up to a new level, while still ensuring we’re as uncompromisingly tech-focused as we’ve ever been. And the results are speaking for themselves in styles such as the Hellgate or Straight Chuter families – sleek, fierce styling with unmatched technical performance.”

Built for all-day backcountry comfort, the Hellgate™ Jacket features maximum breathability with 40 denier Dry.Q™ Elite and premium three-layer construction. Superior features like a two-way adjustable and helmet-compatible hood, pit zips and removable powder skirt are ideal for changing weather conditions on the mountain.

A high-performing backcountry ski pant with 40 denier, three-layer Dry.Q™ Elite technology, the Hellgate Pant offers instant-on breathability – perfect for all-day ski tours. Three-quarter length side zips with water resistant zippers and two-way sliders and removable suspenders are must-haves for off-piste exploration.

For ladies seeking a premium waterproof, softshell jacket, the Straight Chuter is designed for breaking trail and steep boot packs, with women’s-specific fit and style. Featuring breathable Dry.Q Core waterproof technology, a removable powder skirt and pit zips, the Straight Chuter is a full feature shell for all-season comfort.

For in-bound powder days or side-country missions, the redesigned Returnia Jacket for women delivers warmth with 80 grams of zoned Thermal.Q insulation and Dry.Q Core waterproof technology with flattering style lines. A fixed, adjustable powder skirt is great for deep snow, but it tucks away for bluebird days.

An all-day ski glove, the SnoJo Glove is insulated with Thermal.Q™ Elite and features breathable Dry.Q™ waterproof technology and is reinforced withan all-leather palm for added durability.

To round out the ski collection is a low-profile, lift-friendly pack. The SnoJo 20 features full-wrap compression that doubles as a carry system for skis or snowboard. Your best friend in and out of bounds, this pack offers rear panel zipper access to the main compartment, a hydration sleeve, fleece-lined zippered pockets for storage and hard-wearing materials that ensure durability for getting after it all winter long.
