Mountain Hardwear’s Film Haywire to Debut at 5Point Film Festival
Four MHW athletes will appear in featured climbing films
Richmond, Calif. (April 19, 2016) – Mountain Hardwear, creator of performance apparel and equipment, is pleased to announce its athlete Cheyne Lempe’s climbing film, “Haywire” will debut at the 5Point Film Festival April 21-24th in Carbondale, CO.

The film documents climbers Cheyne Lempe and Dave Allfrey as they experience the beauty of Baffin Island and their story about a dream that goes haywire. A terrifying mishap results in the contemplation of a life and the price of adventure.
“I’m honestly a little nervous to share such an intimate look at the scariest experience of my life,” Lempe said. “I’m truly honored for the film to premiere at 5Point Film Festival and I hope that it both inspires everyone to go as big as they can in life but also to take a deeper look at the reasons that we all do what we love.”
Mountain Hardwear will release “Haywire” to the public on Monday April 26 on its Vimeo channel, https://vimeo.com/mountainhardwear. A trailer can be viewed here: https://vimeo.com/152636465.
Also being screened at 5Point, MHW climbers Angie Payne and Mike Libecki will appear in “Poumaka” and Ueli Steck’s 82 Summits project is documented in “The Classic Alpinist: 82 Summits with Ueli Steck.”
5Point Film Festival is a 4-day Flagship Festival in Carbondale, CO at the end of each April.
