Mountain Khakis LLC, dedicated to providing durable, comfortable pants designed specifically for the mountain lifestyle, have tapped business operations wizard Dan Royle as Director of Operations.

Royle has honed his organizational craft during fifteen years in business operations and project management. His focus of expertise includes process development, financial operations, risk management and work plan development and management.

He joins Mountain Khakis after six years with ettain group as the COO and head of the Professional Service Practice. His achievements there include leading the integration of operations when ettain merged with TechSolutions, and contributing to a significant increase in net income for the Professional Practice division. On the operations side, he led initiatives including streamlining back office operations, and the creation and deployment of a quality management program.

Before ettain, Royle worked with iXL and spent five years with Unisys, where he was responsible for the automation of corporate processes, integrating new warehouses, supporting the roll out of new products and assisting in their ISO 9000 certification.

In his new role as Director of Operations for Mountain Khakis, Royle will be responsible for streamlining inventory management and product forecasting, managing purchasing and supply chain decisions, creating and deploying business practices that will provide proactive tools and communications between Operations, Sales and Product Development, ensuring Corporate and Operational compliance, and managing strategic vendor relationships.

“Joining a strong outdoor lifestyle brand like Mountain Khakis at such an early point in their phenomenal growth presents a fantastic opportunity for me to utilize my background in business operations,” said Royle. “I look forward to aiding in and implementing scaleable, strategic operations practices to meet current and future growth demands, and ensure the continued success of the company.”

Royle will join the customer service, dealer services and operational staff in the Mountain Khakis Charlotte, N.C. office. A 1992 graduate of Nazareth College, he currently resides in Charlotte with his wife, son and newborn daughter. His MK style of choice is the Original Mountain Pant, for both their fit and versatility.
