Ontario, California (July 31, 2012) – Mountain Mama is proud to sponsor two events benefiting the Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition this summer at the Outdoor Retailer Summer Market in Salt Lake City, UT.
“OIWC is thrilled to be partnering with Mountain Mama at Summer Outdoor Retailer,” says Hillary Harding, OIWC Development Director.“As a women’s organization, we love partnering to raise awareness of our cause, and when we can partner with an organization so focused on helping and supporting women, it feels like a perfect fit.”
The events begin with a book signing by Helen Olsson on Saturday, August 4, from 1:30 – 2:00pm at Mountain Mama’s booth (BR436). Olsson will sign copies of her book, The Down and Dirty Guide to Camping with Kids.A $5 donation for each signed copy will benefit the OIWC.
After that, Olsson and Mountain Mama will migrate to the Climbing Zone where Climbing Magazine will host the ‘Big Belly Bouldering’ contest.From 2:00-3:00pm, participants can test their “pregnant” climbing skills by strapping on a baby bump and Mountain mama’s new Maternity Climbing Harness by Mad Rock.Prizes will be given and Olsson will sign more copies of her book…again, with proceeds going to the OIWC.Climbing contestants are encouraged to sign up prior to the event at either Mountain Mama’s booth or the Climbing Zone.
