BOULDER, COLORADO – The Super Turbo from Movement Skis is doing more than resisting the trend to go small. It’s annihilating it.
With an aggressive core construction designed to deliver pure powder satisfaction as well as overcome unexpected variable conditions, the 2012 Super Turbo (MSRP $1049) is available in three lengths: 182 & 192 cm (144-115-129), as well as a head-turning 202 cm with a dramatic shape of 150-120-135mm.
Unique in size and shape, the Super Turbo’s curve-breaking nature becomes even more visible in a crowd.
In Powder Magazine’s 2011 Buyer’s Guide, only two out of 163 retail skis featured in the issue were longer than 200 cm. But neither reached 150 mm at the tip, and neither ski came close to the nubile shape provided by the Super Turbo’s 120 mm waist and 135 mm tail.

Certainly, soft snow is an enjoyable playground for the Super Turbo. The combination of Movement’s Early Rise Progressive Tip and the 150 mm shovel provides obvious benefits in everything from a few inches of Colorado blower to a Pacific Northwest crushing of several feet.
The healthy sidecut and adequate camber, on the other hand, are the fruits of the big mountain passion of the brand’s Swiss designers: providing a blend of on-piste and off-piste performance as well as the increasingly rare ability of a ski to hold an edge on steep traverses.
