Seattle, WA – January 10, 2012 – Moving Comfort, industry leader in women’s-specific fitness apparel and sports bras, is pleased to announce that it has donated close to $30,000 to charitable partners through the brand’s Support Your Girls Campaign.

“We are proud of our efforts in raising money for women’s health through our Support Your Girls campaign,” said Julie Baxter, vice president of Moving Comfort. “Since the campaign’s inception we have looked for partners that encourage women to live fit and healthy lives. We are thrilled to support these like minded organizations as they continue to encourage, educate and inspire women.”

In honor of October 2011 National Breast Cancer Awareness month, Moving Comfort partnered with the Feel Your Boobies Foundation, a nonprofit organization which uses unexpected and unconventional methods to remind young women to “feel their boobies” to detect breast cancer early. Through the Support Your Girls Campaign, Moving Comfort was able to donate $8,500 dollars in support of this Foundation.

“The Feel Your Boobies Foundation is so honored to be the recipient of such a generous donation from Moving Comfort,” said Leigh Hurst founder and president of Feel Your Boobies Foundation. “Our campaign relies on donations to continue to spread our message to young women, and because of our partnership with Moving Comfort we will be able to launch a college outreach program in 2012. The goal of this program is to provide free educational materials to campuses to promote proactive breast health to their students.”

Moving Comfort’s Support Your Girls campaign launched in Spring 2009 with the donation of five dollars to Girls in the Game for each “Support Your Girls” tee sold. Girls in the Game provides and promotes sports and fitness opportunities, nutrition and health education and leadership development to enhance the overall health and well being of girls aged six to eighteen.

Moving Comfort continued their Support Your Girls program in Fall 2009 and 2010 with the introduction of pink tees to benefit Bright Pink. Bright Pink is a national non-profit organization that strives to enlighten and empower high risk, young women to take control of their breast and ovarian health by providing education, support and a sense of community for a better, brighter future.
