MSR® (Mountain Safety Research®), the Seattle-based manufacturer of high-performance outdoor equipment, today announced the relaunch of its online publication, The Summit Register.
Adventure has fueled MSR for more than 45 years, and like MSR’s founder Larry Penberthy original 1969 newsletter on mountaineering safety, The Summit Register remains one of the outdoor industry’s topmost resources for outdoor adventure. Regular blog contributors include MSR’s engineers, scientists, and athletes who cover a wide range of topics including science, technology, trip reports, recipes, and culture.
MSR updated The Summit Register’s layout with an eye towards photography to better showcase content while improving navigation, searchability and integration with MSR’s suite of digital properties. The site’s comments section has also been updated incorporating the Disqus platform.
“Like the original, The Summit Register is a resource for increasing knowledge , tips on backcountry safety, and sharing MSR’s love for mountain adventures,” said Jane Mauser, Marketing Director, MSR. “The new Summit Register carries on Penberthy’s mission on a global scale.”
