MSR® (Mountain Safety Research®), the Seattle-based manufacturer of high-performance outdoor equipment, today announced its sponsorship of The Heliconia Press’ new web TV series, Lipsmackin’ Campin’.
Tim and Christine Conners, the renowned authors of five camp cookbooks, including The Scout’s Backpacking Cookbook and Lipsmackin’ Backpackin’, will host the weekly online camp cooking series. The Conners will use MSR cookware and stoves to prepare and cook backcountry meals.
“Tim and Christine Conners are experienced backcountry camping enthusiasts and expert outdoor chefs,” said Jim Boswell, Cascade Designs’ division marketing director for MSR Stoves and Cookware. “We’re thrilled to provide them with our award-winning stoves and cookware in their pursuit of instructing fellow outdoor enthusiasts on how to prepare delicious outdoor meals.”
MSR has long been a forerunner in stove and cookware innovation. In 1973, MSR built the world’s first remote-burner stove, the MSR® Model 9™. It’s ability to quickly and efficiently melt snow for drinking water at high altitude quickly made the stove a staple for mountaineers worldwide. Today MSR offers a dozen different stoves and stove systems to meet the needs of backcountry cooks and mountaineers worldwide.
Lipsmackin’ Campin’ is the latest channel in Heliconia’s growing outdoor digital video network. For more information on the new Camp Cooking WebTV Channel, please visit http://www.youtube.com/user/CampCookingTV. Updates will also be available at www.facebook.com/msrgear and on Twitter @MSRGear.
