MYSTERY RANCH, the Montana based pack company built on a heritage of function, comfort, quality and durability, is well represented as a top brand along in the first ever brick and mortar Carryology concept store. The store, which embraces the concept of great ‘carry’ and stocks anything that we ‘carry with us’ is located in Fitzroy, Melbourne and is the first retail outlet for Mystery Ranch in Australia. Kletterwerk’s by Mystery Ranch, which was the original brand designed by Mystery Ranch founder Dana Gleason is also featured in the new Carryology store.

“The concept store extends the culture established by Carryology.com,” says co-founder Andy Fallshaw. “The site has become a devoted platform for carry conversations where we explore brands, identify trends, and meticulously test and review product. We’ve used that information and history to carefully choose a selection of bags, luggage and packs for the store where each and every piece speaks to an origin story, innovation, heritage or ethical underpinning,” Fallshaw continues.

The store is divided into three realms — Everyday, Travel and Outdoor. Mystery Ranch top selling packs are represented in each of those categories.

Everyday – Carryology loves the Urban Assault, inspired by Military Assault Rucks includes the brand’s iconic 3-zip design allowing quick access throughout the main compartment.

Travel – The Ravine backpack was named a finalist in Carryology’s Best Check in division of its annual Carry Awards because of the bomb proof construction, 3-zip wide open access and excellent adjustable frame.

Outdoor – The Stein 62 was identified by Carryology as a stand-out new pack for backpackers and climbers at the 2016 Summer Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lakt City, Utah. The reviewer reported “it’s worth noting that this bag’s back panel and suspension is way narrower than anything else out there at 62 liters – it looks agile.”

Part boutique, part community hub, the Carryology concept store opened on September 9 and is located at 417 Smith Street, Fitzroy, VIC.
