Bozeman, Mont. (November 24, 2020) – MYSTERY RANCH, the industry-leading pack company built on a heritage of comfortable load carriage, function, and durability for people who have a mission to accomplish, announces its support of Forever Is Now and its global premiere this week at the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival. The feature film showcases Zion National Park and its stewards as they have never been seen before. Forever Is Now and the online festival runs Nov. 20-29, 2020 with tickets available to a worldwide audience.

“Zion holds a special place for many of us at the Ranch, whether it be hiking, climbing or backpacking through the Narrows,” said Alex Kutches, VP of Sales and Marketing. “We jumped at the opportunity to support this amazing film created in time to celebrate the park’s centennial year.”
Forever Is Now is a perfect complement to the Vancouver International Mountain Film Festival, or VIMFF, which presents unique outdoor films and content from cultures from all corners of the globe. Committed to sharing stories about active lifestyles and positive values, VIMFF was the ideal partner for the film’s global premiere.
Forever Is Now headlines the Environmental category at this year’s VIMFF Fall Series, sponsored by the David Suzuki Foundation. Proceeds from the festival ticket sales will benefit Zion National Park and its official non-profit partner, Zion Forever Project. VIMFF is the first of many film festivals that will screen the new film.
In 2019, Zion National Park called on Local Studio’s director Sean Slobodan and producer Shandi Kano to create a new kind of park film that would speak to visitors in a different way. “This isn’t your grandfather’s National Park film,” said Kano. “The film is character-driven and meant to connect us with public lands in a way that turns consumers into contributors…into stewards.”
While a twenty-three minute version of this feature film will show in the park’s visitor center for the next 10-15 years, the full-length feature film is a rich opportunity for more people around the world to connect with Zion. “Forever Is Now was made to connect with all of us in some way,” said Slobodan. “To help us see ourselves in beautiful places; taking care of those places.”
At a time when national park visitation is at its highest, Zion is receiving over 4 million visitors annually. “The film’s message of stewardship and protection is critical right now more than ever and we are honored to play a small role,” continued Kutches.
