MYSTERY RANCH, an industry-leading pack company with multiple product lines focused on function, comfort, quality and durability, celebrates the arrival of the new Spring 16 Mountain collection into specialty outdoor retailers across the US and Canada.

“It has been more than ten years since the brand was available at brick and mortar retailers, and we’re thrilled that the packs have arrived in stores,” says Alex Kutches, Vice President of Sales and Marketing. “One of our best selling points is how comfortable the packs are, and that is best demonstrated when the customer puts the pack on their back. We met our goal to open fifty Specialty Outdoor Retailers in the first season and aim to bring on more retail partners in the coming year.”

The 2016 Mountain collection consists of four categories including:

Expedition – Built to endure weeks on a mountain and years of abuse

Trail – Built lighter and sleeker for two or three-day backpacking or thru-hiking

Alpine – Built light and fast for summit bids, day hikes and technical climbing

Everyday Carry – Built with heritage design for everyday 

The standouts in Trail are the 70-liter Sphinx and Mystic Packs, which recently won the coveted 2016 Backpacker Magazine Editor’s Choice Award. “Robust is the first word that comes to mind,” says Kristin Hostetter, Backpacker Gear Editor. “Not only is this pack practically immune to wear and tear, it hauls 60+ pound loads effortlessly, thanks to the burly frame system and plush hipbelt.”

MYSTERY RANCH, founded by Dana Gleason and Renée Sippel-Baker in 2000, has become well known for its load carriage systems and Built for The Mission packs for military, hunting, wildland firefighters and mountaineering customers. The brand, which has been available at retail in Asia and online in the US, is now available in the US and Canada at select outdoor retail stores. “We’ve immersed ourselves in building mission-based packs for professionals for the last decade,” says Dana. “We’re excited to bring this knowledge back to Outdoor, where we first started with Kletterwerks and Dana Design, and back to our people who are passionate about exploring the mountains and wild places.”
