NATHAN Sports Extends Partnerships with Four Renowned Triathletes

SHARON HILL, Pa. (Mar. 12, 2015) – NATHAN Sports, the Running Essentials™ leaderin creating purposefully-designed hydration, visibility and performance gear, is pleased to announce the extension of partnerships with four of the brand’s top-tier triathletes – Andy Potts, Cam Dye, Matty Reed, and Max Fennell – through 2015.
- Andy Potts: Olympian and World Champion Triathlete, Andy Potts has partnered with NATHAN for the past three seasons and has helped develop several award winning products, including his signature aerobar hydration system, the AP Pro. In addition to his wide range of accomplishments, in 2014 Potts most recently finished first in the Ironman Coeur d’Alene, fourth in the Ironman World Championships in Kona, Hi. and received his sixth victory at Escape from Alcatraz. During the upcoming season, Potts will undertake thirteen races, including nine Ironman races, containing the Ironman World Championship and Escape from Alcatraz.
- Cam Dye: A Boulder, Co. native who reached fandom in 2010 when he won first place at the St. Anthony’s Triathlon, Cam Dye was named Lifetime Triathlon Series Champion for three consecutive years in 2012-2014. He is also well-known for his wins at the U.S. Open in 2012 and Oceanside in 2014.
- Matty Reed: A former citizen of New Zealand, Olympian Matty Reed is now an elite triathlete in the U.S. Reed won the Olympic Trials and placed 32nd in the 2008 Beijing Olympics and fifth in the 2008 World Championships, creating the highest finish ever for a U.S. male. Currently, Reed is transitioning into coaching with more than twenty years of experience. In 2015, he plans to take on the numerous triathlons around the world including the Philadelphia Triathlon, Escape from Alcatraz, London Triathlon and the Ironman World Championship.
- Max Fennell: In 2014 Max Fennell became the first professional African American triathlete. He has earned multiple podiums, competed in the USA Sprint World Triathlon Championships and won fourth overall at the 2nd AC International Triathlon. Fennell is focused on a spot in the 2016 Olympics in Rio de Janeiro and hopes to use his experiences to inspire young African American athletes.
