National Geographic Adventure Recognizes Mammut in Best of Adventure

National Geographic Adventure recognized the Mammut Ambler Hooded Jacket as the magazine’s top choice for a “puffy jacket†in the “2007 Best of Adventure†gear awards. The editors praised the comfort features of the jacket, saying the Ambler “feels like climbing into an expedition-weight sleeping bag – soft, squishy, and luxuriously warm.â€
The magazine unveiled its top picks for 2007 outdoor gear with its “Best of Adventure†feature story, which is published in the December 2006 issue. All gear was reviewed by the editorial staff and for the first time in the award’s history, 45 of the country’s best outdoor specialty retailers provided additional insight and feedback on the products selected for a “Best of Adventure†award.
The Mammut Ambler Hooded Jacket will accompany a traveling expedition of “Best of Adventure 2007†gear to be displayed at upcoming National Geographic Adventure Magazine events between now and March 2007.
Available at retailers now, the Ambler Hooded Jacket is designed with a Schoeller FTC outer shelll fabric, the textile manufacturer’s latest “down proof†innovation, so densely woven that feathers cannot leak or poke through. 750+fill power goose down in a new box construction makes this puffy jacket extremely warm while still very packable. The Ambler is also treated with Nanosphere, which deters the greasy look that down jackets can get once soiled, by repelling moisture, dirt, snow and any other type of stain. The Ambler Hooded Jacket retails for $369.
