Fall-Winter 2014 Men’s Collection Marries Style, Performance and Innovation

(PORTLAND, OR) January 22, 2014 — In Fall-Winter 2014, Nau introduces an expanded line of outerwear and apparel that highlights the design principles of style, performance and innovation. The resulting collection caters to the needs of the modern outdoor consumer, providing a mix of fashion-forward outdoor gear and performance-inherent lifestyle wear that transitions wherever adventure leads. The seasonal collection also debuts a range of sustainable materials, including new cold weather-appropriate wools and Cocona insulated blends. Ranging in price from $70.00 to $500.00, the Fall-Winter 2014 collection will be available beginning in August 2014 at specialty retailers and at www.nau.com.

NEW PRODUCT

In Fall-Winter 2014, the Nau collection offers a premium selection of silhouettes fit for modern-day commuters. The range provides needed performance attributes while keeping in step with urban fashion. As part of this offering, Nau adds a new piece to its technical hardshell category built for tougher commutes and outdoor pursuits, the Ternary Jacket. The Ternary Jacket features a three-layer 100-percent recycled polyester laminate construction complete with a DWR finish for maximum wind and water resistance. A seam sealed silhouette, offset zipper and wind flap all aid in weather protection. Built with bike and mountain friendly features, the jacket has a helmet-sized hood, underarm vents and Velcro cuff adjustments for comfort during active use. The Ternary Jacket is offered in two colorways: a class black Caviar and a new vibrant seasonal blue, Celestial.

Nau updates its top-selling Motil Pant with the Welter WT Motil Pant. The pant is upgraded with a heavier weight 80-20 recycled polyester and organic cotton fabrication fitfor cold weather conditions. Maintaining the same details as the original design, the Welter WT Motel Pant has articulated knees for ease of movement and hems that easily roll up to reveal reflective taping for added visibility in low-light.

For Fall-Winter 2014, Nau adds a new 80-20 wool and nylon blend fabrication to its outerwear collection. Using recycled wool as a staple material in winter silhouettes, Nau has created a collection of outerwear that provides natural insulation with the ability to breathe and wick moisture with varying activities and intensity levels. The blazer-inspired Fader Plaid Jacket, ideal for commuting, uses this new wool-blend material. The piece is finished with a DWR treatment for added wind and water protection. Featuring a sophisticated, two-tone plaid pattern and clean silhouette, the Fader Plaid Jacket easily transitions from commute to office.

The wool-blend fabrication is also used in the Transporter Jacket. The Transporter Jacket blends design cues of a blazer and a military M-65 silhouette for a piece that is warm enough to keep the chill off, but is also light enough to wear indoors. A DWR finish, button-up collar and center back hem vent provide functionality. Joining the wool outerwear offering, the Wool Patrol Jacket is a technical hardshell with a taped waterproof construction. A breathable laminate interior provides additional protection against wet weather, while an adjustable hood, cuffs and bottom hem help seal out the elements. A similar use of wool-blend material is also seen in the Trenchant Jacket, a streamlined take on a classic peacoat. The jacket has an added layer of Cocona insulation for quick-dry and odor management capabilities.

Nau builds out its Fall-Winter 2014 collection with new lightweight baselayers, streamlined insulations and winter-weight shirting. In the baselayer and insulation category, Nau launches a new fabrication, Randy Goat. The Randy Goat material has a heathered, merino wool face and a recycled polyester fleece lining for a smooth feel against the skin. The fabrication will make its debut in the Randy Goat Hoody for men. Rounding out highlights from the new line is the Utility Workshirt, a unique button-up insulation silhouette. Inspired by heritage workwear, the Utility Workshirt features a recycled polyester and organic cotton blend shell complete with a DWR finish and Cocona insulation for weather protection and warmth.
