Portland, OR – January 16, 2012 – Nau, the sustainably-minded urban + outdoor apparel company, will introduce their latest collection for Fall/Winter 2012 at the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Show. The collection is a mash up of urban styling and outdoor performance with products that work in a variety of settings – from the top of the mountain to the city streets. With the Fall/Winter 2012 collection, Nau continues to pioneer new fabrics, reflecting the brand’s commitment to sustainability and performance while maintaining a luxe aesthetic.
“This season is all about old world meeting new world and yesterday mashing up against tomorrow,†said Peter Kallen, Design Director of Nau. “We take styles that are familiar and update them for the modern consumer with greater design and sustainability expectations. As far as our fabrics, we offer new twists on traditional, natural fibers. Take our cotton that we coat with synthetic wax or our wool that we laminate with a waterproof membrane. These are fantastic natural fibers that, when infused with the technology of today, are transformed into high performance, sustainable fabrications.â€
Stand out styles for the FW12 collection include:
Wool Patrol Hoody ($395): A minimalist 2L seam sealed jacket featuring a woven wool face with DWR finish and waxed cotton trim. Features include: covered waterproof front zip and wind flap, attached hood with 2-way drawcord, velcro cuff adjustment, and drawcord mini storm skirt hem. (Pictured)
