NEMO Equipment, Inc. has announced its continued support of the Banff Mountain Film Festival with its sponsorship of the award for Best Film on Adventure & Exploration at this year’s festival.
For over 35 years, the prestigious Banff Mountain Film and Book Festival has showcased a selection of films from around the world during a nine day festival that takes place annually in Banff, Canada. Over 300 films are typically entered, vying for just over 50 spots. The selected films are then viewed by an international film jury and shown to the public during the festival, held this year from October 27 – November 4 in Banff. Following the Banff Festival, the films are released on a World Tour.
NEMO will join thousands of movie-goers and a distinguished group of adventure film makers, athletes, authors and speakers for the final weekend of screenings. Staff will be on hand to present the award for Best Film on Adventure & Exploration and will join other sponsors and industry leaders at the festival’s Mountain Marketplace, Banff’s venue for planning and gearing-up for mountain activities.
“We enjoy supporting The Banff Mountain Film Festival because each of the explorers, film makers and athletes in these films share NEMO’s spirit of adventure and fearless pursuit of uncharted paths. The Banff Mountain Film Festival is an important conduit linking the public-at-large with the world of outdoor adventure. These films and film makers inspire us to get outside and explore our environment. We look forward to the Festival every year,†said Cam Brensinger, president, founder of NEMO.
