NEMO Hires Mike Welch as North American Sales Director

[Dover, NH] – NEMO Equipment, Inc., an award-winning outdoor gear manufacturer focused on shifting the way people enjoy and interact in the outdoors, has added Mike Welch as its North American Sales Director. Welch comes to NEMO with extensive outdoor industry sales experience, formerly working with Mountain Hardwear, Mammut, Karhu and Line skis.
“We’re excited that Mike has joined the NEMO team and look forward to his sales leadership as we continue to grow our brand and business in North America,” said Brent Merriam, NEMO’s Vice President of Outdoor. “Mike brings a passion for the outdoors, solid specialty retail account relationships and industry experience, and a knowledge of sales and go-to-market processes that can further improve NEMO’s service and support of our customers.”
Welch will be responsible for developing and maintaining close relationships with account buyers and managers. He’ll also manage the sales force, e-commerce platform and inside dealer and customer service teams.
Welch is originally from the Washington, D.C. area and has been living in Vermont for the past 12 years. In his spare time, he enjoys skiing and riding the magic carpet with his 2 young kids, backcountry skiing, mountain biking and kitesurfing. Working out of NEMO’s Dover office, he’s looking forward to exploring the seacoast of New Hampshire.
