Six unique designs marry home-like comfort with innovative construction and high-end performance for alpinism, backpacking, comfort camping and vehicle-based overnights.
Across the line, customers will recognize the high performance fabrics, clean designs, and sophisticated color scheme NEMO is known for. Carefully selected insulation options ensure NEMO sleeping bags deliver lightweight warmth across a wide range of temperatures and conditions. The collection includes both PrimaLoft® SYNERGY and 700 and 850 fill power down. The 700 fill power down utilizes DownTekâ„¢ nanotechnology, a water repellant treatment that maximizes down’s ability to insulate, even in the presence of moisture. .
“When we started NEMO 10 years ago, we had a vision of integrating overnight gear into one seamless sleep system. We began with tents, pads and pillows and established our own equation for performance. Not just fast and light, but durable, comfortable and a pleasure to use,†said Cam Brensinger, NEMO Founder and President. “Now, after years of development, hundreds of nights of testing, and more than 300 design revisions, we’re proud to complete the circle with NEMO sleeping bags.â€
Nearly 50 customers, ambassadors, and retail partners tested and collaborated with NEMO’s in-house design team to bring these new, innovative bags to fruition. Through its Adventure Product Testingâ„¢ program, NEMO sent sample bags out to the group for testing. After months in the field, team members reported their findings, feedback and suggestions through online surveys and direct conversations with designers. The result – sleep systems that are comfortable, functional and truly work with the way you sleep.
While the full-scale, global launch with outdoor specialty retailers kicks off Spring 2013, a small production run of hand-numbered bags can be pre-ordered for September 2012, on a first come, first-served basis. The sleeping bags will be available direct-to-consumer only at NEMO’s new microsite, www.nemosleepingbags.com for 2012.
