It’s been a good year for Losi 3Pâ„¢; this award follows its recent recognition as Best All-Around 3 Person Tent from Backpacker and Gear of the Year from Outside.
According to the opening paragraph of their Gear of the Year section, “An Everest-size pile of new products materializes every year, each one claiming to be the next big thing. The majority are unremarkably satisfactory; a few are laughably pathetic. Rarest of all are the 25 superlative objects on these six pages.â€
“You can have a tent that’s lightweight but cramped, a tent that’s roomy but heavy, or a NEMO Losi 3Pâ„¢, which ticks both boxes. It weighs only 5.9 lbs. but sleeps three in cavernous comfort thanks to 50 square feet of space and a four-foot ceiling – enough elbow room for eight men to play poker on a rainy night. Dual 13 square foot vestibules keep your packs dry, and built-in organizer pockets prevent small stuff from being lost,†says Men’s Journal.
“We are very proud to be recognized by Men’s Journal with the Gear of the Year award for Losi 3Pâ„¢. We set out to design a 3 person tent that would provide the greatest amount of space, features and comfort in a package weighing less than 2 lbs per person. Losi 3Pâ„¢ accomplished that mission. The success of Losiâ„¢ shows us we’ve been moving in the right direction and encourages us to keep taking risks and press ahead as innovators,†said NEMO president and founder, Cam Brensinger.
The December/January issue of Men’s Journal is on newsstands now.
