BOSTON, June 30, 2009 – New Balance announced today that Health
magazine has named the New Balance NBx Burnout Tee a “2009 America’s
Healthiest Fitness Award” winner for Best Top.

Health editors praise the NBx Burnout Tee for its “fast-drying and cooling mesh with UV protection” and one editor comments that the tee is “so lightweight, you’ll forget you’re wearing it”.

The NBx Burnout Tee is composed of COCONAâ„¢ mesh, a natural fabric
technology that provides evaporative cooling, odor resistance and UV
protection. Perfect for rigorous training workouts, the side panels of the top are composed of “burnout recycled polyester.” The burnout pattern is created by printing on the fabric with a substance that destroys one or more of the fibers present, resulting in extremely breathable, visually appealing fabric.
The tee also features reflective piping to improve visibility. The tee comes in 3 colors and retails for $45.00.

“We are extremely proud that the NBx Burnout Tee has been chosen for this award by Health,” says Meghan Caffrey, product manager, New Balance apparel. “The New Balance apparel team works diligently to provide technical and innovative apparel to meet the needs of every type of runner. We are thrilled to be recognized for this effort.”

The entire review is available in Health’s July/August issue (on newsstands June 30, 2009), or by visiting www.health.com. The NBx Burnout Tee is available now in participating retail stores. To find a retailer near you, please call 1.800.343.1395 or visit www.newbalance.com.
