BOSTON — Boston-based New Balance is pleased to announce the promotion of Joe Preston to Executive Vice President, International.
Joe’s strong leadership amidst the complexity and challenges of our global business has resulted in the international team consistently delivering on its business objectives and commitments, says Rob DeMartini, CEO at New Balance. As a key global ambassador for our brand, Joe brings knowledge and brand values to our partners worldwide which will help us achieve our goal of $3 billion in global sales by 2012.
Preston, a New Balance associate since 1995, began his New Balance career as Senior Product Manager – Running and Custom Products, before moving on to lead the Dunham brand in 1998 as Division Manager. Preston was named Vice President International Asia/Pacific in 2002, and most recently was promoted to Vice President International in 2005. Preston manages all aspects of the company s international business including Latin America, Europe, the Middle East and Africa. A Northboro, MA resident, Preston holds a BS from Merrimack College and earned his MBA from Babson Graduate School of Business.
