Boulder, Colo. (July 26, 2016)- The highly specialized shoe design team at mountain sports brand DYNAFIT is proud to introduce the newest addition to DYNAFIT’s growing trail shoe collection for spring 2017—the Alpine Pro. At only 300 grams, the extremely lightweight shoe is designed to provide comfort, versatility and protection over middle to long distances.
Both reactive and dynamic, the Alpine Pro features an ‘Alpine Rolling’ midsole construction incorporating dual density compressed EVA to optimize the dynamics of running while ensuring a consistently smooth and flexible roll-through from heel to toe. Built to perform throughout middle to long endeavors, the Alpine Pro tackles technical terrain with solid support and durability. A carbon rock plate (the ‘Carbon Shield’) is strategically placed between the midsole and outsole to provide added protection for the bottom of feet as well as prolong the durability of the long-lasting shoes.
Drawing from the outdoor footwear category’s top features to create a shoe suitable for any surface and all conditions encountered on the trail, DYNAFIT incorporates diagonal reinforcements at the heel to improve fit and support for the rear of the foot. Coined the ‘Rubber Tension Concept,’ the feature lends comfort with a soft, low-profile design while the heal area benefits from pre-loading support for unyielding stability.
Additionally, the Alpine Pro receives the Vibram® Megagrip Outsole, proprietarily developed for DYNAFIT. The special tread profile with a V-shaped design around the mid-foot area increases grip and traction on wet and dry surfaces as well as responsiveness and ground adaptability across all alpine terrain. Lugs on the outer edges are designed for harder surfaces and enhanced durability.
Tried-and-true DYNAFIT features round out the functionality of the Alpine Pro, including covered laces, a quick lacing system for easy fit adjustments, reinforced toecaps and an Ortholite Footbed.
