New England Footwear Donates 700 Pairs of Shoes to Soles4Souls

New England Footwear, parent company of GoLite Footwear and Z7 Footwear, has committed to donating 700+ pairs of shoes to Soles4Souls to bring shoes to victims of the devastating earthquake in Haiti.

Starting with the boxing and sending of several hundred pairs of discontinued styles and older lines, GoLite Footwear is happy to help those who need it most.“To be able to give these shoes to people who need them is about the best thing you can do,” said Doug Clark, founder and CEO of New England Footwear.

Soles4Souls has partnered with other organizations on the ground in Haiti to transport and distribute the aid. More than 60,000 pairs of shoes, including work boots, rain boots, children’s athletic shoes and clothing items, have already been distributed in Haiti, with a goal of 1.3 million items distributed.

“We immediately realized that basic necessities such as shoes would be desperately needed for the survivors in Haiti,” said Scott Briggs, President of New England Footwear.“It was not a question of whether we’d help, it was a question of finding the right partner who can get the shoes where they’re needed most.
