New Fox River snow sport socks combine fashion and function

OSAGE, Iowa (for Winter 2006/07)–Fox River, a leading maker of high-performance outdoor and athletic socks, is introducing six new snow sport styles that make wearing technical socks even more of a treat. Fun patterns along with Fox River’s signature exceptional fit and performance are the hallmarks of these new styles.

In the Fox River’s women’s line there are three new styles. The first is the super-soft merino ski sock called the “Pippi” designed to fit women with cushioning at the toe and shins for comfort, and moisture wicking to prevent friction. The Pippi comes in a cute stripe pattern with snowflake overlay designed by women for women. Colors include lake blue, brown, mountain rose and glass. Suggested retail price is: $ 12.99.

The next two new women’s styles are part of Fox River’s successful Wick Dry® AXT (Adventure Cross Training) line: a lightweight and a mid-weight style made specifically to fit women, the Fox River Wick Dry AXT Carve Lt. Wt. (msrp: $12.49) and the Fox River Wick Dry® AXT Carve Mid-Wt. (msrp: $12.99). Both designed by Champion Freeskier Alison Gannett come with cute embroidered ski “chix” at the calf and knit in snowflake at the toe. The chix are the next extension (following Fox River’s women’s snowboard and walking socks’ embroidered designs) crafted by artist Kate Seeley. Carve colors include pink, glass (a light blue-green) and black.

In Fox River’s unisex collection, the company has two new ski styles also part of their Wick Dry® AXT line. The Fox River Wick Dry® AXT Retro Lt. Wt. and the Wick Dry® AXT Retro Mid-Wt. The Retro, with cool striping detail, comes in black, black/pink, black/orange, black/blue and black/Kelly. Suggested retail price on the lightweight style is: $ 12.49, on the mid-weight, $12.99.

Fox River Wick Dry® AXT socks combine merino wool and polypropylene to bring extra durability, quick drying and exceptional moisture-wicking to these comfortable socks.

Finally, Fox River is introducing a technical unisex merino snowboard sock called the “Edge” with exceptional cushioning at the shins, instep and toes for comfort, and moisture wicking to prevent friction. Reinforced heels and toes for extended durability in high-wear areas and a cushioned heel pocket and specially-constructed Achilles anchor to prevent lifting in boots. The

Fox River Edge comes in a cool argyle pattern down the calf. Colors include solid black, black with Kelly and white argyle, black with pink and fuchsia argyle, blue with royal and bittersweet argyle and brown with tan and cardinal argyle. Suggested retail price is: $ 12.99.
