New Matrix G7 Series line from Johnson Health Tech North America, Inc. gives clubs premium strength equipment option

COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. – March 2, 2009 – Johnson Health Tech North America, Inc. today introduced its new premium line of Matrix strength-training equipment, the G7 Series.

“The new G7 Series expands our offering of Matrix-branded strength equipment, giving our customers a premium equipment choice,” said Peter Sell, director of product management, JHTNA. “When combined with our new premium series cardiovascular products, the G7 Series enables our customers to create a distinctive and consistent look throughout their fitness facilities.”

The G7 Series line features a state-of-the-art, low-profile design. Each machine is equipped with an electronic counter that tracks repetitions, activity time and rest time. Because the integrated system tracks equipment usage, it also provides the total time the machine has been used and total repetitions. This valuable data lets fitness facility personnel determine equipment traffic and better estimate when the units will need maintenance, all without having to disassemble the machine.

Other features of the line include:
•Converging and diverging motions that closely replicate the body’s natural movement
•Ergonomic seat and back cushions for comfort and stability
•A unique incremental weight system that can be easily adjusted from the seated position
•Action Specific Grips that contour to the user’s hands for enhanced comfort
•Instructional placards that detail proper machine use and display muscles targeted to help users achieve correct body positioning and movement

Seven pieces from the line will be on display at IHRSA, March 17–19, at the Matrix booth (No. 702):
•Converging Chest Press
•Converging Shoulder Press
•Diverging Lat Pulldown
•Diverging Seated Row
•Seated Triceps Press
•Leg Extension
•Seated Leg Curl

The G7 Series will expand to 19 products by the end of 2009.
