New Orleans Urban Adventure Race is Back Following Katrina
The annual race is back and will feature 10 miles biking, 4 miles canoeing, 6 miles trekking/running, plus additional mystery challenges

New Orleans, La.- October 10,2006- Massey’s Professional Outfitters is again sponsoring LA Adventure Racing’s New Orleans Urban Adventure Race that will be held on Saturday, October 14, 2006 in City Park.
The 3-4 hour course will travel throughout New Orleans highlighting the treasures of the city sending teams to checkpoint locations which include, the French Quarter, Warehouse District, Riverfront and Bayou Saint John.
Teams of 3 will compete in co-ed, all-male, all-female or coed masters divisions. Special team awards will be given for the top three finishers in each division.

La Adventure Racing is thrilled to bring back this exciting event to the city we love so much. And, we’re expecting even more interest this year to welcome the event back to New Orleans,†says Dave Poleto, Director of LA Adventure Racing.
Throughout the course, prizes such as gift certificates will be hidden as a part of the Massey’s Professional Outfitters Treasure Hunt.
This race is open for those who are beginners as well as experienced adventurers. This race will be a part of the Race to the Atchafalaya series where teams can receive points toward the Louisiana State Championship.
