New Specialty Retailers Sign Up to Sell Life Fitness Equipment

Exercise equipment leader Life Fitness will be carried through 15 new specialty retailers beginning this month, in a move to extend its reach in advance of the all-important holiday shopping season and beyond. The new relationships increase the presence for Life Fitness within key markets in the Northeast, Northwest, Southwest, Southern California, Colorado and Alaska.

SCHILLER PARK, Ill. — Exercise equipment leader Life Fitness will be carried through 15 new specialty retailers beginning this month, in a move to extend its reach in advance of the all-important holiday shopping season and beyond. The new relationships increase the presence for Life Fitness within key markets in the Northeast, Northwest, Southwest, Southern California, Colorado and Alaska.

The retailers will carry the full-line of Life Fitness branded strength and cardio equipment at a time when the company continues to roll-out its new line of iPod(R) enabled machines, the Platinum Club Series. The Series delivers a stunning line-up of features, including seamless iPod integration; a Virtual Trainer for workout motivation and education; USB connectivity and vibrant Workout Landscape(TM) Perspectives.

“We are constantly seeking new avenues and markets for our products,” said Tim Wild, vice president of the consumer business for Life Fitness. “We feel that expanding into these retailers will allow us to capitalize on our new innovative line at a crucial buying time for most consumers.”

The new Life Fitness retailers will collectively bring 42 new storefronts for the Life Fitness brand. Fitness Showrooms, located in New York State, will carry products in seven of its stores; Precision Fitness, three stores in Massachusetts; Healthstyles in Denver, 11 stores; Pacific Fitness in Las Vegas, three stores; Fitness Outlet in Sacramento, Calif., and Seattle, five stores; At Home Fitness in Phoenix, three stores; FitChix in Scottsdale, Ariz., two stores; Cape Cod Fitness in Hyannis, Mass; Treadmill Outlet in Redwood City, Calif.; Bring It Home Fitness in Fresno, Calif.; Fitness Mart in San Diego; Fitness Direct in San Diego; Specialty Fitness in Los Angeles; Fitness Concept in San Rafael, Calif.; and Sunshine Sports in Alaska.
