New Tomahawk MyRide from Johnson Health Tech North America, Inc. lets users take indoor cycling classes when they’re ready to ride

COTTAGE GROVE, Wis. – March 9, 2009 – Today Johnson Health Tech North America, Inc. introduced the Tomahawk MyRide, a new group cycling console that lets health club and fitness facility members take indoor cycling classes anytime they are ready to ride.

MyRide offers a virtual indoor cycling class experience. It is available as a wall-mounted unit or a free-standing kiosk that can be placed directly in front of any indoor bike. With a 15-inch LCD screen that displays ride profiles, heart rate, cadence, time and rate of perceived exertion (RPE), MyRide guides the exerciser through complete indoor cycling classes.

“MyRide is ideal for health clubs and fitness facilities that don’t have the room, staff or ability to hold traditional indoor cycling classes as well as facilities that want to offer on-demand indoor cycling classes for their members,” said Becky Jalbert, product manager, JHTNA. “Loaded with more than 100 video classes with beginner, intermediate and advanced options, set-up instructions and coaching, MyRide provides exercisers the opportunity to select indoor cycling classes that suit their training needs at times that are right for them.”
