SEATTLE, Wash. (November 6, 2006) – Officials from Nikwax® N.A., the global leader in environmentally safe aftercare waterproofing solutions, today announce a sales increase in the domestic market.
Chas Fisher, President of Nikwax N.A., announced a sales increase of 38% for the first fiscal quarter of 2006, over the same period for 2005. The company’s first quarter of its new fiscal year includes Aug., Sept., Oct.
“We are very happy with the numbers we’re showing, the product is really checking at retail,†said Fisher. “This increase happened despite less-than-ideal weather conditions for our product line.â€
Fisher attributes the increase to success in consumer education.
“We’ve worked hard implementing new point-of-purchase, advertising campaigns, and other creative outreach on why and how to waterproof,†he said. “Nikwax has always focused on growing the category and we continue to do so with our top-performing product, new branding initiatives, environmentally-friendly POP and consumer education efforts.â€
