October is Adopt a Shelter Dog Month and Ruffwear is continuing to celebrate with its Ruff Adventure Dog Adoption Program in partnership with Best Friends Animal Society. Since initiating its two-year, $50,000 partnership with Best Friends in May, Ruffwear has matched twelve fresh air-seeking, adventure ready dogs with adventurous, outdoor-loving Ruffwear customers.
“Getting Kira was one of the best decisions I have ever made and I look forward to the many years we will have together sharing adventures,” said Sidney F. from Utah. “Nothing makes me smile more than when I come home and she army crawls over to me with the biggest doggy smile on her face as she rolls on to her back. If you are looking to get a new pal, there is nothing better than having another shadow who has an unlimited amount of love!”
“I would tell someone considering adopting a dog that few experiences are more rewarding,” said Sarah and Randy from Nebraska, recent adopters of Slim. “We feel such responsibility to these dogs to make their lives better than what they had prior and to make up for everything they didn’t have before. Adopting a dog is rewarding in that we are saving lives and in turn, they are saving ours too.”
The RAD dogs, selected for their high-energy, social skills and trail etiquette, make for excellent outdoor companions. From there, you can learn more about these and other RAD dogs, fill out an application, and hopefully, meet the canine love of your life.
