Nuun strengthens its swing in Golf

Well-Known Golf Industry Leader David Everett Joins Nuun & Company as Managing Director of Nuun Golf.

Nuun, the creators of the portable, electrolyte hydration drink and a company seeking to be more involved in the game of golf, announced today the hiring of David Everett to the newly created position Managing Director of Golf.

Nuun & Co, created in 2004, was recently listed by Inc. Magazine as one of the top 500 fastest growing privately owned companies in the U.S.

Mr. Everett joins the Nunn team after a successful career in golf real estate development. Most notable was Everett’s lead role at Sea Island Company in the renovation and re-launch of Sea Island Golf Club, which has been named the No.1 Golf Resort in North American by Golf Digest.


Following several positions in the development of high-end golf communities on Hilton Head Island, Everett joined the Sea Island Company in 1996 as its Real Estate Consultant. He advanced to Senior Vice President of Development and Clubs and was later promoted President and Chief Officer in 2003, a position he held until 2007.

Mr. Everett is well known in the golf industry. His accomplishments include several private golf communities on Hilton Head, SC and Sea Island, GA. He was instrumental in Sea Island’s acquisition of Peter Millar Clothing line, taking the popular golf clothing line from a $4 million to $30 million company. Everett was also the chief architect of Frederica, the most significant real estate development in the Sea Island Company’s history.

Mr. Everett’s office is located in Sea Island/St. Simons Island. He will continue to be based in Georgia as Sea Island/St. Simons Island is an epicenter of golf and the home of many touring professionals (Davis Love III, Lucas Glover, Zack Johnson, Jonathan Byrd, Matt Kuchar and several others).
