Oboz, the new outdoor footwear brand out of Bozeman, Montana, has joined with Paragon Sports in New York to bring trees to the city. ‘One More Tree’ will take place at Paragon Sports (www.paragonsports.com) on Saturday, April 26th at 867 Broadway at 18th Street in New York City.
During the One More Tree event, every customer who tries on a pair of Oboz footwear at Paragon will receive a tree seedling to take home and plant.
The ‘One More Tree’ initiative is a visible extension of Oboz’s commitment to plant a tree for every pair of shoes sold in 2008. Oboz supports Trees for the Future (www.plant-trees.org) which helps people in developing countries improve their livelihoods through the introduction of sustainable land management projects focused on beneficial tree planting. Since 1988, Trees for the Future has helped thousands of communities in Central America, Africa, and Asia and has planted nearly 50 million trees which remove approximately one million tons of carbon dioxide from the atmosphere each year.
