Oboz – true to the trail footwear from Bozeman, Montana – has brought in new sales teams in the Southwest and Upper Midwest to further forge retailer relationships.
Alta Group’s Greg Houston will cover Oboz in the Southwest territory, adding to his sales role for Petzl America. Houston’s experience includes five years as Petzl’s customer sales and service manager, as well as independent sales and specialty retail in his native southeast. Houston is based in Glendale, California.
“When we launched Oboz, the Alta Group fired up sales right away,” said John Connelly, founder of Oboz. “Their dedication and motivation in California and the Southwest will bring more great results for Oboz.” The Alta Group now oversees about 50 accounts in five western states, Alaska and western Canada.
In the Upper Midwest, Larry Hanson and Tim Harwood of Adventure Sports Marketing have also joined the Oboz sales team. Hanson, of Central Minnesota, serves on the board of the Outdoor Reps Association and brings more than 20 years experience to Oboz. Harwood, from the Chicago area, has been an outdoor industry rep for five years. He has managed an EMS store and has also worked for Active Endeavors in Chicago. The duo represents Eagle Creek, Princeton Tec, Tifosi Optics, Stanley, Red Feather and other products to multiple retail channels serving outdoor enthusiasts.
