Octane Fitness Adds Two Industry Veterans

to Commercial Sales Team

BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – Feb. 4, 2014Leading brand of elliptical machines Octane Fitness, LLC has fueled its commercial sales team with two industry veterans. Bruce Quickel is the Southwest national accounts manager, and Fred Seabright is the national YMCA-East manager.

“We are thrilled to strengthen our growing sales team with Bruce and Fred, who both have valuable experience and promise to be great assets as Octane continues to increase our penetration in commercial markets,” said Dan Kennedy, Octane’s director of commercial sales.

Bruce Quickel

Most recently, Quickel was a senior national accounts executive at Jonas Fitness, Inc., responsible for managing key customer accounts and business development at this enterprise management software and billing solutions firm. Prior to Jonas, Quickel worked at Healthways, a health enhancement technology company, and ABC Financial, a health club management software business. He also spent nine years at Life Fitness, starting as a sales representative and ultimately becoming a regional sales director.

Quickel served in the U.S. Army as a combat medic and is a decorated Persian Gulf War veteran. Based in Gilbert, Ariz., he earned a B.S. degree in exercise physiology and athletic training at Temple University.

Fred Seabright

A 19-year industry veteran, Seabright previously was the director of GSA sales for Cybex International, Inc., where he established market strategy and business plans for the Morale Wellness and Recreation (MWR) equipment sales, as well as developed programming and equipment utilization for military tactical readiness programming, including the U.S. Marine Corps High Intensity Tactical Training (HITT) initiative.

Formerly, Seabright was the Eastern regional GSA manager for Star Trac, where he created improved opportunities for physical and psychological recovery for injured veterans. He also was the vice president of sales and marketing at Strive Enterprises, inc., as well as the director of YMCA and government sales.

Also a U.S. military veteran, Seabright was an air traffic controller in the Marine Corps. He is based out of Yardley, Penn., and has a B.A. in sociology and psychology from The Hiram Scott College in Scottsbluff, Neb.
