BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – March 5, 2008 – Octane Fitness, LLC, a leading brand of multiple award-winning, premium elliptical cross trainers, has launched the Pro3700, its third-generation commercial elliptical cross trainer, that is based on a brand new platform, including the company’s revolutionary Converging Path handlebars – in addition to a host of other valuable features.
“Converging Path is unlike anything on ellipticals today,†said Tim Porth, executive vice president of product development and marketing for Octane Fitness. “The Pro3700 expands commercial options and is loaded with the latest technology and innovations that deliver better workouts.â€
Unparalleled Upper-Body
The Pro3700 is the exclusive commercial elliptical that boasts the patent-pending Converging Path handlebars, which replicate the natural path of the upper body by moving inward at an angle as the exerciser presses forward, then opening up on the backswing, just as one’s arms naturally move toward and away from the midline when walking, jogging or running. The result is a joint-neutral, safer position; a longer range of motion that accommodates all users; and easier access to the console, which simplifies programming and grabbing a water bottle.
To perfect the upper-body motion, Octane’s patented MultiGrip handlebars offer a variety of positions that custom-fit each individual and facilitate greater comfort and effectiveness. And now, the moving handlebars are equipped with digital contact heart rate sensors, along with controls for program and level, for extra convenience.
Customization, Comfort and Care
With the Pro3700, health clubs can choose a stride length of 20.5†or 24†to best meet their members’ needs. Soft grip pedals boost safety and enable exercisers to push harder, while an integrated fan delivers cool air.
Simplified keypad controls and a new LED message center, make using the Pro3700 a breeze. Custom interval programs enable exercisers and personal trainers to easily design personal workouts, and the new 30:30 workout, developed with Athlete’s Performance, builds endurance and power.
New track covers help to seal out dust, dirt and sweat, and bigger rollers yield better performance. Serviceability is simpler with two-screw access to the top shroud, and, of course, the self-powered Pro3700 features Octane’s space-efficient footprint.
With a manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) of $4,799, thePro3700 is warranted for three years on parts and one year on labor.
Octane Fitness ellipticals are used in some of the largest health clubs in the world, including 24 Hour Fitness, Equinox, LifeTime Fitness, Gold’s Gym and YMCAs, in addition to numerous training facilities for professional and collegiate athletic teams.
