BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – Feb. 15, 2010 – In its zealous pursuit to deliver the best low-impact cardiovascular equipment in the world, Octane Fitness, LLC (www.octanefitness.com) continues redefining cross training with its new Q47 Series, Q37 Series and Q35c standing ellipticals. The new models replace the existing units.
“We are on a constant mission to give people more effective, efficient ways to reach their goals,” said Tim Porth, executive vice president of product development and marketing at Octane Fitness. “And these new machines, equipped with the breakthrough Cross Circuit+ and many popular features, are helping transform exercise for the better.”
Redefining Cross Training
In addition to boasting all of Octane’s popular features, the new Q47 Series, Q37 Series and Q35c ellipticals offer the ability to combine cardiovascular exercise and strength training using the new Cross Circuit+ program. After every two minutes of cardio on the elliptical, individuals are prompted to perform exercises such as chest press, lateral raises, rows, curls, triceps extensions and more using Octane’s custom designed Powerbands for resistance. Highly effective exercises using body weight, such as lunges, push-ups and planks, also are included.
To execute the exercises, the exclusive Octane Powerbands are easily anchored on several areas on the machine, including on optional stationary foot platforms. A Cross Circuit+ booklet, which comes with the elliptical, depicts the variety of exercises, and can be stored in an access panel cubby during workouts. Users also can purchase an accessory kit (sold separately), which includes three additional Powerbands of varied resistance, side platforms and a workout DVD.
It’s like having a personal trainer within the machine, delivering greater benefits, including high caloric expenditure, improved muscular endurance and better overall conditioning. Cross Circuit+ choices include Lower Body Blast, Upper Body Blast, Total Body Blast and Core Focus.
New Enhancements
For even greater versatility and customization, the Q47 and Q37 Series ellipticals offer new goal programs – 350 calories, 750 calories, 10K and ½ marathon. Digital contact heart rate sensors are conveniently located on the moving handlebars on the Q47 models, and contact grips come on the stationary handlebars on the Q37 units and Q35c.
The upgraded console is also easier to use, with features including scrolling program selection, user speed and heart rate displayed constantly and exercise countdowns during the strength intervals in Cross Circuit+.
Sleek styling includes redesigned shrouds for a more visually appealing look and a shorter footprint on the new Q37 Series and Q35c model.
And the new ellipticals are now backed by a five-year parts warranty.
In Demand
The new ellipticals also are equipped with Octane’s signature workout boosters –
X-Mode, GluteKicker and ArmBlaster – that deliver distinctly effective, exhilarating routines that yield results. The company’s trademark Converging Path and MultiGrip handlebars on the Q37 and Q47 Series provide comfort and variety; and, on the Q47 Series, the patented SmartStride interactive ergonomics, with electronically adjustable stride length, and unique stride length programs, optimize lower-body work.
