BROOKLYN PARK, Minn. – April 7, 2011 – Octane Fitness, LLC (www.octanefitness.com) continues to add to the 41 Best Buy awards its products have accumulated over the past eight years. Sport-Tiedje, one of Europe’s largest specialty fitness retailers, has designated Octane’s Q37 Series standing elliptical cross trainers as the most innovative products of 2010. Presented at the recent International Health, Racquet and Sportsclub Association (IHRSA) Convention and Trade Show in San Francisco, the award is part of the dealer’s annual recognition of its top suppliers.
“The Q37 is a very unique machine – it combines perfect biomechanics with effective and entertaining workouts, including CROSS CiRCUIT+, all in a space-saving footprint,†said Alexander Hausch, a managing director of Sport-Tiedje, which is based in Germany and has 12 stores in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. “Our customers love the features and the high-end design and quality.â€
Leo Schreuders, managing director of Octane Fitness’ subsidiary in Rotterdam, The Netherlands, adds, “Sport-Tiedje has been a partner of ours since 2008, and has more than 25 years of expertise in the fitness equipment business, so we are thrilled that among the thousands of products that their team encounters, they have recognized our Q37 in this very competitive category.â€
Sport-Tiedje’s technical support manager, store managers and sales staff, which includes personal trainers, athletes and rehabilitation specialists, evaluated hundreds of products to determine awards in four categories: best supplier, best product, best service and most innovative product.
A Class of Its Own
As part of the revamped standing home elliptical line, the new Q37 Series debuted in early 2010, boasting Octane’s exclusive CROSS CiRCUIT+, which essentially transforms the machine into a cardio and strength training home gym. With CROSS CiRCUIT+, exercisers perform two minutes of cardio on the elliptical, followed by one minute of strength exercises such as chest press, rows, biceps curls, squats, lunges, crunches and more using Octane’s custom designed Powerbands, dumbbells or body weight for resistance.
A CROSS CiRCUIT+ booklet depicts the exercises, and users also can purchase an accessory kit (sold separately), which includes three additional Powerbands of varied resistance, side platforms and a workout DVD. CROSS CiRCUIT+ includes the efficient Lower Body Blast, Upper Body Blast, Total Body Blast and Core Focus.
New goal programs – 350 calories, 750 calories, 10K and ½ marathon – help motivate exercisers and stimulate results, and digital contact heart rate sensors and interactive heart rate monitoring provide feedback for customized workouts. Octane’s signature X-Mode, GluteKicker and ArmBlaster are unrivaled as virtual personal trainers that maximize exercise effectiveness. And the company’s trademark Converging Path and MultiGrip handlebars provide comfort and variety.
