Boulder, Colo. – Outdoor Industry Association (OIA) is conducting research for a Retail Benchmarking Report that provides participants with detailed financial, operational and compensation analyses and measurements against the greater retailer industry. In addition to receiving the individualized report, the first 100 retailers who complete the survey by June 3rd will receive a free one-year OIA membership and will be entered in a drawing for one of two two-night hotel packages at Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 2016.
“The OIA Retail Benchmarking Report provides critically important information on key performance indicators that are difficult, if not impossible, to find elsewhere, including, gross margin percentage, asset productivity, space productivity and employee productivity,” said James Rein, OIA’s market insights manager. “Participating retail members will get a free individualized report to put hard numbers behind their business objectives that could be the difference between making or missing company goals. It’s not just an overall view, but it drills down to performances of similar markets, sizes of shops and much more.”
Five key pieces of data retailers will receive:
Personal financial scorecard that compares where a retailer’s shop stands in relation to other participating retailers (profit model, income statement, financial ratios, productivity ratios)
Executive summary that offers a comprehensive view of each retailer’s business financial performance (based on income statements, asset productivity, employee count)
Graphical analysis of profitability that showcases individual results for key measures and factors
Employee productivity analysis that provides an overview of employee productivity ratios as measured by employee output
Plan to improve profitability that reviews the key factors that truly drive financial performance and how they influence return on assets
Retailers can submit their survey now HERE. It only takes 30 minutes, and the deadline is Friday, June 3, 2016. For questions or more information, contact James Rein. Participants are automatically entered to win one of two hotel packages for ORSM 16.
Fine Print: OIA free one-year memberships and the opportunity to be entered into the drawing for one of two free Outdoor Retailer Summer Market 16 lodging packages of two nights at the Marriott City Creek are for the first 100 retailers who complete the survey by June 3, 2016.
