Outdoor Retailer Seminar to Explore the Sales Experience in the Digital Age
Salt Lake City, UT â€“ On August 5th, during the upcoming Outdoor Retailer Summer Market, the Outdoor Industry Association will host a unique panel comprised of Dealers, Manufacturers and Sales Reps to discuss and explore how together, as an industry, they can leverage the latest advances in technology and business intelligence tools to sell smarter and sell more. The panel discussion entitled Knowledge Is Power: The Sales Experience in the Digital Age will take place Friday, August 5 from 2pm to 3:30pm at the Salt Lake City Marriott Downtown, Salon E, and is free for both OIA members and non-members.
Moderated by OIA VP of Business Intelligence, LaRae Marsik, the panel will include Timbuk2 President Mike Wallenfels, Mountain 2 Sea Marketing founder Ron Frongillo, and Todd Litzman, President of Brandwise amongst others. The panelists will each share and discuss from their unique perspective in the industry, questions such as:
– Dealers â€“ Does your rep really know your business? What kind of information should they have before they meet with you to ensure a productive and timely sales call?
– Reps â€“ What information should you be armed with to help your dealers sell more and buy smarter? A list of best sellers they’re not buying? Items they have on back order at the time of your visit? Channel conflict and product saturation information?
– Suppliers â€“ You have the numbers, you have the data, but do you know what they’re trying to tell you? How can you turn this data into dollars by slicing and dicing it to uncover those golden nuggets that enable you to sell more, manage better and run a more efficient enterprise?
