Las Vegas, NV – The Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition, (OIWC), is accepting nominations for the 2010 Bike Industry Pioneering Woman and First Ascent awards, now through August 16, 2010. The Pioneering Woman award honors women within the Bike Industry who have furthered the vision of the OIWC by demonstrating an outstanding commitment to mentoring female colleagues.

potential for leadership. It also furthers the vision of OIWC by increasing visibility of talented young women exhibiting the skills for long-term success.

Kristy Holland, Editor in Chief of Women’s Adventure, stated, “Supporting women leaders in the cycling industry is an extension of our mission so Women’s Adventure is really excited about being part of these awards and continuing to push the cycling industry to include and appreciate the women that contribute to it as leaders–in the boardroom or the peloton.”
