Explosive Growth and Consumer Demand Brings Fourteen New Meal Offerings to North American Market
Pembroke Park, Fl. (July 25th, 2017)
OMEALS, the premium outdoor food brand with self-heating, fully cooked home-style meals and snacks that require no stove or fuel, is introducing new flavors and smarter packaging this summer. Acknowledged and awarded for its advancement of the outdoor food category in taste and innovation, OMEALS continues to offer new and better ways to enjoy eating outdoors, from tailgating to car camping to a tasty and satisfying backcountry feast.
With four new homestyle meals, OMEALS is expanding its variety of offerings with flavors appealing to any appetite. Answering to consumer feedback and flavor preferences, OMEALS created a Turkey Chili with Beans homestyle meal, available now. For breakfast, a Hash Browns with Bacon, Peppers and Onions meal makes mornings more aromatic and delicious. For hearty dinners a Cheese Tortellini in Tomato Sauce and Spaghetti with Beef Sauce satisfies the appetites of vegetarians and meat eaters alike.
As with all OMEALS homestyle meals, the new meals self-heat in minutes, in its own packaging, which includes a built-in element and eating utensil. Once nourished, users can place waste in the re-sealable packaging to pack out waste and keep our planet clean.
OMEALS packaging has been upgarded and now features improvements on already user-friendly features, including new materials for the bag construction followed by a bigger gusset base and a 20% increase in the size of the steam vent for greater heating efficiency and safer enjoyment in confined spaces. The packaging design has significantly evolved to better highlight nutrition information and reveal imagery of ingredients and meals for at-a-glance grab and go.
The brand’s popular crunchy Cheese Bites snacks have been tweaked in shape and flavor and are now offered in Original and Smoky, with the same sustenance and satisfying crunch.
As OMEALS’ popularity explodes in Canada, ten new Homestyle Meals and Cheese Bite flavors are now offered to the Canadian market with selections unique to the brand including Lentils with Beef, Lentils with Vegetables, Vegetable Stew with Beef, Vegetarian Chili, Turkey Chili, Chicken Creole, Cheese Tortellini, Hash brown Potatoes with Bacon, Peppers and Onions, Maple Brown Sugar Flavored Oatmeal, and Cheese Bites in Original, Smoke, and Honey Habanero.
As one of the first outdoor food brands to design self-heating meals that don’t sacrifice taste for convenience, OMEALS’ mission is to create an enjoyable and easy eating experience from start to finish. In early 2017, the outdoor food brand introduced improved utensils – complete with a heavy duty spoon featuring an extended handle that is 1.5-inches longer than the previous design – and new seasoning packets that allow consumers to season to taste.
“We are so excited about the growth we are seeing in the US and in Canada,” said OMEALS Founder, Saul Mishkin. “As consumers and our retail partners continue to embrace our way of eating outside, we get to create new flavors and continue to evolve a tastier way to enjoy a real meal, in the wilderness or really, anywhere.”
