One Eleven Reveals Collaborative Collection with Active Lifestyle Brand Slowtide

LAGUNA BEACH, Calif. (June 12, 2019) – One Eleven, a global leader in solar-powered timepieces, is launching its first ever collaborative collection of watches with premium towel brand, Slowtide. In homage from one sustainably-minded brand to another, the collaboration will merge One Eleven’s solar-powered craftsmanship with artistic design elements that Slowtide is known for.

“We are excited to partner with a brand that has mastered the fusion of art and function while staying true to their purpose”, said Hacker Plotkin, global vice president of brand at One Eleven. “Their passion can be seen in everything they do. They not only aspire to be the best, but they inspire us and those around them to be the best. Which is what makes this collaboration so special.”

Launched in 2016 and rooted in being powered by the sun, One Eleven timepieces function with a high-quality, solar panel face that continually charges the watch battery in both natural and artificial light for up to 10 years. The solar-powered movement of every One Eleven watch eliminates the need to continuously replace a watch battery, which reduces harmful waste that goes back into the planet. One Eleven is also a partner of 1% for the Planet, the global network of businesses, nonprofits and individuals working together for a healthy global ecosystem.

Founded by way of California and Hawaii in 2015, Dario Phillips, Kyle Spencer, and Wylie Von Tempsky started Slowtide as a product of their lifestyle. After spending a lifetime of long days at the beach, they wanted to create a canvas for art in the form of a towel for daily use. All Slowtide cotton towels are constructed of certifiably-sourced cotton through the Cotton LEADS program, assuring the material is responsibly produced. Additionally, polyester Slowtide products are made from 100% recycled post-consumer waste, primarily plastic bottles.

“When One Eleven approached us, we were instantly thrilled to collaborate with a like-minded, eco-friendly brand with a focus on sustainability and inspiring travel”, said Slowtide Co-Founder Dario Phillips. “The result is a beautiful collection of watches that unites our artistic approach to everything we design and do with the classic functionality of the One Eleven watch.”

The One Eleven X Slowtide watch box set (MSRP $155) will be available for purchase on June 25th on as well as Huckberry retail stores and on, and will include a uniquely designed Slowtide signature towel.
