BOSTON, MA. To help provide a clear understanding of the many rejuvenating and recovery benefits OOfoam technology offers active consumers, OOFOS launched OOFOS YOOniversity at the Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City last month.
OOFOS YOOniversity is an educational programming component that will continue on-line at www.oofos.com offering retailers tips on ways they can improve sales by adding recovery into their product mix, while providing consumers with tips on ways they can get more out of their training regiment.
Speaking at the launch of OOFOS YOOniversity in Salt Lake City, OOFOS chemist JH Yoon spoke about the unique properties in OOFOAM, which absorbs 37 percent more impact than EVA. The level of positive compression in the foam makes OOFOS an extremely durable product that can maintain its design and support properties and benefits for an extended period of time providing lasting recovery benefits.
World reknown mountaineer Carlos Buhler spoke about the importance of recovering fully between workouts.“Recovery is crucial on a day to day basis, as well as a yearly basis,” said Buhler. “From a mental and muscle endurance standpoint our body needs recovery to become stronger. What it takes to maximize the strength I am going to take forward in an expedition is a direct result of proper recovery. OOFOS provides me with the mental and physical recovery I need to prepare for the next aspect of training by increasing circulation in my feet and giving me the mental feeling of comfort,” explains Buhler.
The goal is to help retailers understand how to capitalize on the recovery market and at the same time educate active consumers on the importance of recovery between workouts.
