DENVER, CO. (January 20, 2011) – Optic Nerve, the Denver-based sport sunglass manufacturer will introduce an expanded goggle line at the 2011 Outdoor Retailer show in Salt Lake City. As a result of the success of last year’s goggle collection, the company has expanded their snow product offerings by 50 percent over 2010, including the introduction of two new spherical goggles. Additionally, a consumer-friendly $39 sunglass collection will also make its debut at the industry trade show.
“We gained a lot of traction with our goggles in the marketplace last year. For 2011, we improved upon what was working and added more lens options, new graphics and two completely new spherical styles,†said Tom Fox, Vice President and Product Designer for Optic Nerve. “We are very excited about this collection.â€
New to the Optic Nerve goggle family are the Princeton and Columbine. Both have a spherical lens for increased peripheral vision to ensure unobstructed vision and precision optics on the slopes. The frame design incorporates dynamic graphics and bold colors, making both styles sleek and affordable goggle options for winter enthusiasts.
All of Optic Nerve’s goggles offer 100% UV protection, meet class 1 optical standards, have triple density anti-microbial foam to prevent itching and anti-fog polycarbonate material with active venting and are helmet compatible. The Goggle Collection features styles for men and women, adults and children, ranging in price from $30 for kids’ styles to $59 – $79 for the adult styles.
In response to consumer demand for quality, value-oriented eyewear, Optic Nerve is introducing a $39 sunglass collection this year. Comprised of three styles – Samuri, Jumpsuit and Jinji – the collection offers consumers a durable, lightweight sport sunglass option.
“Consumers are looking for value right now,†said Bill Cotton, President of Optic Nerve. “We created this collection to meet the needs of our consumers without sacrificing the quality optical protection Optic Nerve is known for.â€
