Denver, CO – Optic Nerve, makers of performance-driven price-conscious eyewear, announces the appointment of Brand Amp as its public relations agency of record.
Brand Amp is a founding member of the storytelling team, The Dangerous Collective, charged with refreshing the Optic Nerve brand. The team will work closely with Optic Nerve Sales and Brand Manager Gregory Niver on the overall brand direction including identifying strategic opportunities for all areas of the business. Brand Amp will lead the company’s marketing communications strategy including public relations and social media campaigns.
“We want to get back to our roots,” said Tom Fox, Optic Nerve Co-Founder and Product Designer. “So it was important to work with someone who really knows who we are, where we come from and how to carry our strengths forward as we evolve and grow. Brand Amp was a fan of ours long before we ever discussed working together which is a great foundation upon which to build a lasting partnership.”
Brand Amp founder and president Lee Hart explained she’s been an Optic Nerve fan since friends introduced her to the brand shortly after she moved to Salida, CO a decade ago. “Like Salida, Optic Nerve is unpretentious,” Hart explained. “It’s really popular with my circle of friends because it’s this cool independent Colorado company that makes shades that fit our active, river and mountain lifestyle while delivering three key things that are important to us – great function, style and value.”
Editors at popular magazines have also appreciated what Optic Nerve brings to the table. Outside’s Winter Buyer’s Guide 2010 called the Antero goggle a “killer value” and praised the polarized Eightball sunglasses for their “stylish but adventure-worthy performance and construction.” Freeskier’s 2010 Buyer’s Guide favored the 970, ranking the $59 goggle on par with competitors priced at $100 or more.
