WHEAT RIDGE, Colo.Optic Nerve, an independently owned and operated provider of premium sport and lifestyle sunglasses, is pleased to announce new 2014 technologies and product lines. From cutting-edge components to fashion-conscious designs, the goal of these new releases is to allow Optic Nerve to compete on a global level.

Highlights of new releases include injection polycarbonate lenses, hydrophobic technology, a women’s polarized line and a performance polarized line:

  • Polarized injection polycarbonate lenses utilize precision molding and processing to create pristine optics, superior clarity and elite impact resistance, along with a highly efficient polarized filter. Each lens meets all global standards for Class 1 optics, impact resistance and traffic light recognition.
  • Hydrophobic technology will be incorporated onto all polarized and premium interchangeable models. It is a micro-thin layer that repels water, dust and oil, as well as enhances overall performance, durability and lifespan. The coating also increases the ease of lens cleaning.
  • A women’s polarized line is being introduced under the Optic Nerve brand. Designed specifically for women, this is the first time the company has focused on providing females fashionable choices that are also conducive for performance and an active lifestyle. Ideal for everyday wear, there are ten different models in a variety of on-trend colors. All have a suggested retail price of $65.
  • A performance polarized line will be available for the first time in the 2014 Optic Nerve collection. Created due to consumer demand, there will be nine total models in a variety of color options. Seven of the models, geared to activities such as running and water sports, have a suggested price of $65. The other two models are glacier styles with removable rubber side shields that provide peripheral protection and will be priced at $79.

Optic Nerve has begun placing advanced orders for the 2014 line. Updated product catalogs are currently available, and the company will be presenting the new line during Interbike at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas, Booth #10050.
