BEND, ORE. – OCTOBER 19, 2017
The Conservation Alliance today welcomes its newest member, Oregon Youth Outreach, a nonprofit dedicated to empowering youth to make positive, lasting changes that help them become happy, healthy, successful adults.
“I’m a longtime admirer of The Conservation Alliance and the work they do,” said Kristie Focht, Executive Director of Oregon Youth Outreach. “I’m very excited for the opportunity to become a member.”
This new partnership will continue to help support and bolster The Conservation Alliance’s efforts to fund conservation organizations working to protect North America’s last wild spaces. Though the support of Conservation Alliance member companies, the organization has helped protect 50 million acres, 2,991 river miles, removed or halted 29 dams, purchased 12 climbing areas and designated five marine reserves.
“We are proud and honored to welcome Oregon Youth Outreach into The Conservation Alliance,” said John Sterling, executive director of The Conservation Alliance. “Oregon Youth Outreach’s commitment to the environment and today’s youth plays an important role in the outdoor industry’s collective commitment to preserving the environment.”
