Osprey is taking the Summer Outdoor Retailer Plastic Impact Promise a step further and encouraging their Happy Hour attendees to bring their own reusable pint cup. For every reusable pint cup attendees bring to Osprey’s Happy Hour on Day 1, Osprey will fill it with beer and make a $6 donation to Big City Mountaineers.
“Many of us in the industry have cabinets full of stainless pint cups from past OR shows,” said Vince Mazzuca, Marketing Director, Osprey. “While we will still sell new pint cups for a $5 donation, we want to encourage everyone to bring their own, and as an incentive for those who do, Osprey will donate $6 to our non-profit partner. Less impact on the environment, less pint cups in our cabinets, and a bigger donation to our friends at Big City Mountaineers.”
The Plastic Impact Promise was published on SNEWS earlier this month by SNEWS Editor-in-Chief, Kristin Hostetter where she asked readers to sign on and “pledge to reject single-use bottles and cups during the next OR show, to bring your own bottle, and find places to fill it up.”
Join Osprey for Happy Hour at Outdoor Retailer – Day 1, June 18 from 4:30 pm – 6:00 pm at their booth.
