Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition Announces June Education Series
Five nationwide events to focus on “change for your team”

Outdoor Industries Women’s Coalition (OIWC) is pleased to announce five events during June that will present helpful tactics and insights to successfully navigate career change. Two events will be a part of OIWC’s Education Series, taking place June 13th at REI in Portland and REI in Salt Lake City. Portland’s event will be co-hosted by Columbia. Later this month, three Network Nights will take place on June 26th, held at Mountain Hardwear (Richmond, CA), Skirt Sports (Boulder, CO) and Outdoor Research (Seattle, WA).
The 2012 Education Series is sponsored by adidas Outdoors, CamelBak, REI and W.L. Gore. The Portland REI event will host keynote speaker Phyllis Grove, KEEN’s VP of Marketing. The Salt Lake City REI event will host a panel presentation featuring Nora Stowell, VP at Sunnto, Peggy Hill, Senior VP of Supply Chain at Petzl, and Marjie McKone, Marketing Manager of the Rossignol Group. Megan Fogg, Assistant Buyer at Backcountry.com, will moderate the panel. Presenters at both events will speak about the challenges and successes encountered as they steered the course of their careers. These events will take place from 4:30-7:30pm.
The June 26th Network Nights will provide an opportunity for women from all fields in the Outdoor Industry to network and explore the aspects of “change for your teamâ€. Through presentations and group discussion, attendees will learn how to navigate change. The event will take place from 4:30-7:30pm.
