Outdoor Industry Companies Affirm their Commitment to Using the Higg Index to Measure and Reduce Environmental and Social/Labor Impacts

(Boulder, CO) – A group of leading outdoor industry companies are publicly committing to use the Sustainable Apparel Coalition’s Higg Index to improve environmental and social responsibility throughout their supply chains, and are encouraging the rest of the industry to join them in their implementation efforts.

To date, 35 companies have signed a public commitment statement expressing their support of the Higg Index adoption effort within the outdoor industry, acknowledging the tool as the emerging industry standard and declaring their intention to use the Higg Index as the primary means to measure and communicate supply chain performance and to participate in its continued development.
